JIO Data not Compatible on SeTracker ‘L2-Lite’ 4G calling Smartwatch
This watch is not compatible with Jio Data Network – getting Device offline on the SeTracker app. Voice calls work on watch, but anything related to data does not work with JIO 4G SIM. I spoke to Jio Support regarding Sim or any additional steps required to make it work on this watch, they said it should work without any additional steps. The same Sim was working on my previous Sekyo Watch. Also successfully tested the SIM on my phone. The current SeTracker ‘L2-Lite’ is my 3rd piece as the 1st 2 had physical defects.I spoke to ifihomes support, they made me test with Airtel SIM – it worked, but when asked about JIO SIM compatibility as recommended in product description, they blamed it on network issue, although as soon as I told them about testing it on my phone and that it worked on another brand watch, they stopped responding.Surprisingly the Watch has required hardware to support JIO 4G Volte + Data (you can easily check this with IMEI number and device model), but for some reason still does not work with JIO. I tried APN update via SMS command – that’s not working either. Unfortunately support team isn’t that helpful either, the fact that support team stopped responding left me suspicious that they already knew about this issue.As workaround you can configure the watch using Airtel SIM and also add contacts to get the watch working with updated time/date. once done switch back to JIO SIM, at least this way the watch would retain some functionality on its own even though it wouldn’t work/connect with app.Biggest turn off are the Ads on SeTracker App, and you can pay to turn off Ads. !!!Seriously!!!.
