Great watch to track and talk to kids, especially in Gated communities
This is a very good product made for kids.Pros:* Watch is simple with not many options to confuse the kids.* Looks wise also good* Most importantly the features that were given to track and call are really wonderful* Voice call is great with a lot of clarity. Video call is equally good. I am pleasantly surprised by the call clarity* Both voice calls & video calls can be initiated from both the sides* You can restrict the calls to the family members only, can remove the dial pads to avoid kids talking to the others etc.* You can also watch and listen to the watch secretly in a situation where it is needed* SOS Panic calling to alert the parents* The watch also has a wifi connection, so it works with the WIFI also.Cons:* Battery is a minor downside of the watch. You would get a day. I think it drains a lot due to the sim card present inside it. But if you charge everyday that’s not a problem* GPS fencing is a little hit or miss. It would inform me when my kid is in, but misses to notify when the kid goes out of the fence. Not very reliable. But otherwise, on demand GPS tracking works like a charm. Conclusion:Over all, a great watch. This is really helping me to trace and talk to my kid whenever I want to. I very much recommend this watch.

Lasts 1 day, takes 14+ days to replace — avoid this watch.
I ordered this watch for my kid and it was delivered the same day. Sadly, it got stuck on “SIM card updating” the very next day and became completely useless. The bigger problem is the so-called replacement process. Although it shows 7-day replacement, I was redirected to the manufacturer’s site. They scheduled pickup in the next 24 hours, and then another 14 days for replacement—only if they confirm the fault is genuine. So a watch that reached me in hours will take over two weeks to replace. For a kid’s gift, this completely ruined the surprise.Good-looking product, but terrible reliability and after-sales support. Definitely not recommended.

    Great safety gadget
The Boat Wanderer Smart Kids Watch is more than just a gadget. It’s a saviour for both kids and parents. With two-way video and voice calls, staying connected has never been easier, offering comfort to little ones and reassurance to their parents. The SOS button and geo-fencing and an extra layer of safety, making sure kids are always within reach. It’s 1.43″ HD display is bright and engaging, while the 2MP camera lets children capture fun moments. With parental controls and fitness tracking, it’s a perfect mix of security, activity, and fun in one kid-friendly package. Great product.

Use and throw smart watches by Boat with zero customer support
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are use-and-throw watches that stop working in months.  The watch stopped detecting sim abruptly, and after a while the display became garbled.  The warranty claim was rejected as there was a scratch on the screen.  They say ‘company policy’. No paid service or spare parts either. They say ‘company policy’ and cut the call. The customer executives are the worst, they asked me to go to a local repair shop and fix it as Boat service centres don’t repair. “Company policy”. This was my last boat product. Their headphones were bad but at least they were cheap. Their smartwatches are non repairable and no spare parts are sold. This is looting!

Compact, smooth and gets the job done
I bought this watch to keep track of an elderly parent. While this watch is relatively new in the market, the first positive point for me was the fact that it’s branded, which reduces the likelihood of being landed with a non-functional piece. I’ve used Boat products earlier, and have been pretty happy with my purchases thus far. The price too seemed reasonable for the features listed.Coming to the watch itself, it came packaged well and was in a sealed, original box. It was fully charged, so I could get started with it immediately. It came with a user manual, charging cable, SIM slot opener and a bunch of stickers for kids. It connected to WiFi instantly and I was able to bind it to the app on my phone without any trouble. The mobile app itself is crisp, easy to understand and syncs changes with the watch in seconds.Pros:1. Lightweight2. Decent size watch face3. Smooth touchscreen4. Easy flip navigation5. Soft buttons6. Really clear front-facing camera7. Decent GPS (there are times when it doesn’t show the exact location and is about 100 meters away. That’s fine by me because it still gets me an approximate location).8. Very good sound9. Good parental controls via the app10. Decent battery life even after taking it off power saving mode11. Includes a pedometer that tracks activity. Great to make sure that a kid (or in my case a senior) stays active.12. Changeable watch faces makes this watch interesting.Cons:1. The chat application on the watch allows only emojis and voice messages. There is no keyboard to type a text message although the app on the phone has this option. There might be situations where a kid may not be able to send a voice message. Including a keyboard is definitely doable because they do have one to enter the WiFi password.Nice to have:1. It would have been great to allow calls via WiFi. The watch right now allows SOS calls or voice calls only when a SIM is installed. Of course this is functionality has been created under the valid assumption that a child would be outdoors and require assistance, during which time a SIM would be the most ideal connectivity point. But in a scenario where mobile network is unavailable but WiFi is, it would have been great to have at least the SOS calls directly via WiFi as well.2. It would have been awesome to have an SpO2 and heart rate monitor inbuilt, just like there is a pedometer right now.3. A few more apps would have been nice. Calculator, calendar, compass and anything else really basic to extend this watch’s functionality.
